These services are provided by home care Attendants and include assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, hair and skin care, eating, meal preparation, medication reminders, assistance with walking and transfers, grocery shopping, housekeeping, laundry and protective supervision for patients who are not safe to be left alone. All Attendants are trained and supervised by a Licensed Nurse.

Personal care services may also include Respite and Caregiver Relief, which allow a caregiver of a sick or disabled family member time away from home.

Personal care services are covered by Primary Home Care (PHC), Community Based Alternatives (CBA), and some long term care insurance policies.
